New Circulars relating to SNA employment published by DES

After many months of negotiations between DES, Management bodies and Unions, the DES have published two circulars pertaining to the employment conditions of Special Needs Assistants(SNAs).

Circular 071/2011 relates to the implementation of the Public Service(Croke Park) Agreement for SNAs. This circular also gives details on how the 12 days can be  reconfigured in schools.

Circular 072/2011 relates to a new agreed Grievance and Disciplinary Procedure for SNAs.

Both of these circulars are for immediate implementation and should be given to all SNAs including those on leave of absence. A copy should also be given to all members of the Board of Management.

If you have any queries on the contents of these Circulars, please contact the NABMSE office.
