Pay scale Circulars for new entrants to the Education Sector

The DES has recently published Circulars regarding the pay scales for new entrants to the Education Sector. This is a a result of Budget 2011 where the Government has applied a 10% reduction in the pay of new entrants to the public service (referred to in this Circular as “new appointees”) and all new appointees to the entry grades of the public service  must start at the first point of the relevant pay scale with effect from 1 January 2011.must start at the first point of the relevant pay scale with effect from 1 January 2011.For new teacher pay scales, please click Circular 0040/2011
