NABMSE to hold consultation on Staffing in Special Schools

On 21st January 2011, NABMSE will hold a consultation meeting for its members on staffing and other issues in Special Schools. NABMSE are members of the working group on Circular 0038/2010: Staffing Arrangements in Special Schools and wish to consult members on issues going forward. The agenda for the day is:

Time:  9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

  • Tea/Coffee/Biscuits on arrival
  • 9.30 a.m. Registration
  • 10 a.m. Setting the context
  • 10.15 a.m. Break up into small groups for consultation
  • 12.05 p.m. Feedback from the groups/clarification
  • 12.30 p.m. Light lunch

The topics for discussion are:

  1. Designation of Special Schools
  2. Enrolment Policy and Practice
  3. Pupil Profile
  4. Staffing of Special School
  5. Assessment
